Help Preserve Fort Worth’s History
More than a cemetery, Oakwood is a historic landscape. It connects us to Fort Worth’s past and inspires us to preserve it for the future.
Time leaves its mark on everything—even the places we cherish most. For over 100 years, the Oakwood Chapel has weathered Texas summers, powerful storms, and the passing of generations. While its beauty endures, preserving historic structures requires ongoing care and restoration.
Your support helps preserve this historic landmark. Together, we can and ensures that its story continues to be told.

Recent Restoration Efforts
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, preservation efforts are already making a lasting impact throughout Oakwood Cemetery.

Stained Glass Window Protection
Preserving stained glass treasures that tell stories of Fort Worth’s past.
One of the first chapel preservation projects focused on restoring the protective coverings for its historic stained glass windows.
Today, these coverings help safeguard the windows from vandalism and sun damage while preserving their beauty for future generations.
Most recently, the protective coverings were replaced and the surrounding window frames were repaired and repainted.
Every restoration project brings us one step closer to preserving Oakwood’s historic chapel for future generations.
